About Portumna
Portumna is the ideal place to base yourself for trips around the region. Many beautiful towns, villages and attractions are within only a short distance from the town. Only travel across the bridge, and you are in Tipperary, fifteen minutes over the road brings you to Offaly.

Ideally located in the most southern point of Galway, Portumna is less than one hours driving time from the city centre. Shannon International Airport is just over one and a half hours, and dublin roughly two and a half. This makes Portumna very accessible by both air and sea. Aer Lingus, Ryanair, BMI, EasyJet and Aer Arann all operate daily flights to these airports from all major European hubs and UK cities.
